Refund Policy
Last updated: 19th May 2026Volt Racers offers a free trial covering the Linear Cup so you can try the game before purchasing. We encourage you to use the trial before buying.
1. Your Statutory Rights
If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, you have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, including rights relating to digital content.
Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to limit or exclude your statutory rights. If there is any conflict between this policy and your statutory rights, your statutory rights take precedence.
2. Individual Purchases — App Store and Google Play
If you purchased Volt Racers through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, the refund is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We do not process these refunds directly.
2.1 Apple App Store
- Refund requests must be submitted to Apple directly at reportaproblem.apple.com
- Apple’s standard refund window is 14 days from purchase
- Apple evaluates each request at their discretion
- We cannot override Apple’s refund decisions
2.2 Google Play Store
- Refund requests must be submitted to Google directly via the Play Store or at play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory
- Google’s standard refund window is 48 hours from purchase for automatic refunds; longer requests are reviewed by Google
- We cannot override Google’s refund decisions
3. Individual Purchases — Web (via Lemon Squeezy)
If you purchased Volt Racers on our website, we process refunds directly through Lemon Squeezy.
3.1 Standard refund window
You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have not made substantial use of the full game content.
What counts as substantial use: completing more than one full circuit (5 races) of Quadratic Grand Prix or Cubic Championship content. Use of the free trial (Linear Cup) before purchase does not count as use of the purchased content.
3.2 How to request a web refund
- Email refunds@voltracers.co.uk with your order number and the email address used at purchase
- We will respond within 5 business days
- Approved refunds will be processed within 10 business days and returned to the original payment method
3.3 Circumstances where we will always refund
- The game is materially not as described
- A significant technical fault prevents you from accessing content you have paid for, and we are unable to resolve it within 14 days
- You purchased in error and have not used the paid content
3.4 Circumstances where we may decline a refund
- More than 14 days have passed since purchase
- You have made substantial use of the paid content
- The request relates to a change in your personal circumstances rather than a fault with the product
- The account has been suspended due to a breach of our Terms of Service
4. School Licences
4.1 Cooling-off period
School licences may be cancelled and refunded in full within 14 days of payment, provided the licence has not been activated (i.e. no students have registered using the school’s email domain).
4.2 Part-year refunds
If a school licence is cancelled after activation:

4.3 Discontinuation of service
If we discontinue Volt Racers permanently, all active school licences will be refunded on a pro-rata basis for the unused portion of the licence period.
4.4 How to request a school licence refund
- Email hello@voltracers.co.uk with your school name, invoice number, and reason for the refund request
- We will respond within 5 business days
- Approved refunds will be processed by BACS bank transfer within 15 business days
5. Restore Purchase
If you have purchased Volt Racers and reinstall the app or switch devices, you can restore your purchase without paying again:
- On iOS: use the “Restore purchase” link on the upgrade screen
- On Android: reinstall from the Play Store using the same Google account
- On web: sign into your account — your purchase is tied to your account, not your device
If you experience difficulties restoring a purchase, contact us at support@voltracers.co.uk with your order details and we will restore access manually within 2 business days.
6. Defective Digital Content
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if digital content is faulty, you are entitled to a repair or replacement. If this is not possible within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, you may be entitled to a price reduction or, in some circumstances, a full refund.
If you believe the game contains a material fault, please contact us at support@voltracers.co.uk with a description of the issue. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days.
