How to change accessibility settings
Open Volt Racers and go to Settings. Accessibility settings are the first section — at the top, not buried at the bottom.
You can change:
Font size
Standard, large, or extra large.
Dyslexia-friendly font
Switches to OpenDyslexic for all text.
Colour mode
Standard, or one of three colour-blind palettes.
Reduced motion
Turns off non-essential animations.
High contrast
Stronger borders on interactive elements.
Your settings are saved to your account and follow you across all your devices. Set them once — they stay set.
The game is too fast for me
If the batteries are streaming past too quickly, a few things may help.
First, try the reduced motion setting in Settings → Accessibility. This slows down non-essential animations and can make the screen feel less busy.
If the equations themselves feel too hard, you may be on a circuit that is ahead of where you are comfortable. Work back through the maths help pages to build up to the current difficulty.
The game also adjusts automatically — if you are finding races difficult, it will quietly ease back on the complexity of the batteries over the next few races.
The battery equations are hard to read
Try increasing the font size in Settings → Accessibility → Font size.
If you have dyslexia or find standard fonts difficult, turn on the dyslexia-friendly font. This switches all text to OpenDyslexic — a font designed to be easier to read.
Note
The equations on the batteries stay in a clear monospace font even when the dyslexia font is on. This is intentional — mathematical notation is clearest in a standard monospace style.
If contrast is the issue, try High contrast mode in accessibility settings.
